The Beretta Performance Optic Ready, the latest addition to the 92X Performance platform for competition pistols.

The 92X Performance Optic Ready was developed by shooters for shooters. The Performance Optic Ready features the same ergonomics and handling as the already well-known 92X Performance, but with the long-awaited red dot sight compatibility (RDO ready).

Technical features, such as the Vertec-style steel grip and the Brigadier slide, bring the weight down to 1,350 g—a key factor in ensuring maximum stability of the firearm while minimizing muzzle rise during firing. The generous magazine well and the front and rear grooves on the frame facilitate magazine changes and handling, while also improving the gun’s grip stability.

To make the trigger pull even faster, the 92X features a notched hammer with a competition-grade spring. The new Extreme-S trigger system keeps the automatic firing pin safety engaged, ensuring the pistol’s safety in the event of a fall, while reducing trigger reset by 40%. The Extreme-S system allows the 92X Performance to offer “out-of-the-box” trigger pull weights of 1.5 kg in single-action (SA) and 3 kg in double-action (DA).

The removable “Match” type firing pin ensures a precise reference for the second shot. The “hold-open” lever profile is lowered and of the “Stealth-Lever” type so as not to interfere with the finger resting on the safety lever on the barrel while the empty magazine is being indicated.

The profile of the frame in the area where it contacts the trigger guard—in contrast to the front of the grip—creates the necessary space for the shooter’s hand to ensure a firm and deep grip. The magazine release button is repositionable and sized for easy access, while the frame safety and disassembly lock are designed to function as grip elements, ensuring maximum control over muzzle rise during firing.
