The A1 frame features an integrated MIL-STD 1913 rail for mounting tactical lights and laser sights.

The 9mm magazines have an increased capacity of 17 rounds and are fully interchangeable with other 9mm pistols in the 90 series.

The removable front sight allows the user to easily replace damaged sights or install tritium night sights or other accessory sights.

The captive, one-piece recoil spring simplifies the assembly and disassembly process and minimizes the risk of losing the spring.

The Beretta 92A1 also features an internal frame buffer, which extends service life by reducing stress on the frame.
