The KR-103 rifle is the semi-automatic civilian version of the AK-103, a successor to the famous Russian AKM (Avtomat Kalashnikova modernizirovanny) rifle chambered in the Soviet 7.62x39mm caliber.

The AK-103 was one of the last designs directly overseen by Mikhail Kalashnikov, the father of the original AK-47, and was introduced in 1994. Production began the very next year, and an estimated 200,000 AKMs have been manufactured since then. The original AKM was issued to Russian law enforcement special units and select army special forces, including Spetsnaz. The KR-103 was developed and built with great care based on the original Russian specifications. As a result, the KR-103 replicates the incredible ruggedness and reliability that have made the AK-47 and AKM platforms the world’s most-produced firearms, with over 100 million units manufactured. The KR-103 is compatible with all AKM and AK-74 stocks and accessories featuring a side-folding mechanism.
