Kalashnikov USA was originally an importer of Russian-made firearms. After the U.S. government banned the import of these weapons, the company began manufacturing its own rifles based on Russian specifications. Today, the company produces a wide range of AK-style semi-automatic rifles, shotguns, and pistols for the U.S. and international civilian markets, as well as for military and law enforcement agencies. All rifles are manufactured in the United States by American workers using high-quality barrels, receivers, pins, bolts, and other components produced in the United States. Each firearm undergoes test firing and a final quality control inspection before it is shipped.
