Vortex Optics

Vortex has been in business since 1986 and is a family-owned American company based in southern Wisconsin.

Dan and Margie Hamilton, the original and current owners, moved to Middleton, Wisconsin, in 1986 and opened a small outdoor retail store. From the very beginning, the focus was on customer well-being and satisfaction. The business grew and continued to develop steadily in the years that followed, and in 2002, the Vortex brand was established.

Starting with Dan and Margie Hamilton, Vortex now has over 200 employees, all of whom continue to uphold the company’s original philosophy: to offer the best products and the best possible service in the optical industry.

All Vortex products are designed, engineered, and tested in the company’s own state-of-the-art workshops—where the highest standards of quality control and absolute customer satisfaction remain the top priorities.
