Laugo Arms is a modern, world-class firearms manufacturer built around a team of passionate professionals with a vision to transform the firearms industry. The company’s history began in 2001 in Trenčín (Latin: Laugaricio), where a group of enthusiastic designers founded an independent design studio. Following the success of the M8A platform, Laugo worked closely with CZ to bring the M8A into mass production (resulting in the CZ Scorpion EVO 3). However, the world of mass production and outdated concepts proved to be limiting, so Laugo ended its collaboration with CZ in 2013.
In 2017, Laugo Arms Czechoslovakia s.r.o. relocated its operations to Prague and transformed into a full-fledged manufacturer of high-end firearms. Investor Daniel Selichar joined the original team—thereby enhancing the company’s industrial and competitive strength. The goal was to create a platform for the development and manufacture of revolutionary high-end firearms that offer maximum performance, modularity, and precision. After another relocation to a larger manufacturing facility in Blansko (CZ), the company was integrated into the Czech engineering group ANACOT in 2024, thereby gaining additional industrial strength and resources.
The first product to emerge from this philosophy is the Alien pistol—a technically bold design intended for competitive shooters and discerning enthusiasts. The Alien combines several unconventional and patented solutions: an extremely low barrel axis (minimal muzzle movement upon firing), a fixed barrel, a gas-piston delayed blowback system, low mass of moving parts, and a non-floating upper rail for optics—all of which contribute to better control, faster sight recovery, and longer durability of mounted aiming aids. Thanks to all these unique features, the Alien quickly gained recognition in the industry. For example, it was named “Best of SHOT Show.”
