IWI

Israel Weapon Industries (IWI) is an Israeli manufacturer of small arms headquartered in Ramat haSharon. The company was founded in 2005 through the spin-off of the small arms division from the formerly state-owned defense conglomerate Israel Military Industries (IMI). According to its own figures, IWI was among the world’s five largest firearms manufacturers in 2014, with an export rate of approximately 90%. Today, IWI is owned by the privately held Israeli defense holding company SK Group. The company is the holding company’s largest subsidiary.

IWI products are used by the Israel Defense Forces, as well as by several other military and security forces worldwide.
