The IWI UZI Pro is a new version of the well-known UZI submachine gun. In total, approximately two million units of all variations of the old UZI were sold worldwide. The new 9mm UZI Pro is made of high-quality polymers that drastically reduce its weight and allow for a new placement of the magazine release button. The new position is modeled after traditional pistols, resulting in simpler and more familiar handling.

The charging handle of the UZI Pro is no longer located on top of the submachine gun, as it was on the old UZI, but on the side. This change allows for a Picatinny rail on the UZI Pro, onto which optics can be mounted quickly and easily. Another Picatinny rail is mounted on the underside of the weapon, allowing lights and lasers to be attached directly beneath the barrel.

A cantonal exemption permit (ABG) is required to purchase this firearm.
