CANiK SFx RIVAL
When it came to naming the CANiK competition pistol, the challenge was to find a name that reflected the goal we had set for ourselves in developing this firearm. The goal was simple: This platform was to be equal to or better than anything used in competitive shooting, and to give the user a clear advantage in winning! With that in mind, the name became clear right away: This gun is undoubtedly the “RIVAL.”
No other name could express the design so clearly: a superior model, capable of challenging all other pistols, is now taking the stage. It features specially developed features designed to outperform the competition, such as an improved beavertail, aggressive front slide grooves, a deeper trigger guard angle, a new Holster Fit and Lock (HFL) feature, and the new self-extending magwell frame design. The new frame design, equipped with adjustable rear and front sights and a fiber-optic front sight, drastically improves the pistol’s handling and accuracy.
The CANiK SFx RIVAL features a modular frame that allows for easy disassembly of the firearm. Thanks to this design, the user can disassemble the pistol into its smallest components right out of the box and then reassemble it using only the CANiK punch tool. CANiK® continues to utilize the world’s most advanced technology in trigger design to develop the CANiK SFx RIVAL’s diamond-cut, 90°-angled, lightweight aluminum trigger, which—together with the shortened pre-travel and reset travel—increases speed and accuracy.
In addition to all these technical improvements, aesthetic considerations were also taken into account in the design of the RIVAL: Featuring a unique coating color called Canik Rival Gray—applied by Cerakote exclusively for CANiK to the frame and slide—as well as H122 Gold on the trigger, magazine release button, magazine well, and slide stop lever, this firearm is sure to turn heads at any shooting range.
With these features and its 127-mm barrel, the CANiK SFx RIVAL is fully eligible to compete in events organized by the IDPA, IPSC, and USPSA.
