The SFP model series stands for “Striker-Fired Pistol.” This means that it is a fixed-locking, modified Browning system featuring a fully cocked single-action trigger mechanism. The “9” stands for the 9mm caliber. The modern Heckler & Koch SFP9 subcompact striker-fired pistol is thus a fully cocked system with a single-action trigger in 9mm caliber.

The Heckler & Koch SFP9 subcompact comes standard with several unique features and innovative details. Patented reloading aids in the rear breech area simplify and facilitate quick and safe reloading. The pistol can be disassembled without tools. A mandatory sequence of steps during disassembly ensures maximum safety to prevent accidents. It is impossible to disassemble the pistol without first removing the magazine. The magazine and ergonomic design were adopted from the P30 and carried over to the new pistol series.

The SFP9 subcompact offers various combination options via interchangeable grip backs and grip panels, allowing for individual grip configuration and optimal adaptation to all hand sizes. Excellent trigger characteristics enable maximum precision during rapid fire.

SFP9 SK 9mm Subcompact Self-Loading Pistol – With the SK, Heckler & Koch now also offers a subcompact pistol in the SFP9 series.

The Heckler & Koch SFP9 Subcompact 9mm is the subcompact variant of the well-known SFP9. The SFP9 SK features a shorter barrel (86 mm) and ambidextrous magazine release and slide stop levers. This makes the pistol easy to operate for both right- and left-handed shooters. Like all pistols in the SFP9 series, the SK comes standard with a trigger safety, striker safety, and disassembly safety. Here, too, six grip panels and three grip backrests allow for optimal adaptation to different hand sizes. Thanks to its adjustable and ergonomic grip design, the SFP9 SK offers excellent handling, making the pistol very easy to control. The cold-hammered polygon-profile barrel is made of high-strength special steel designed to ensure a long service life.

The “Special Forces” SF trigger (20–25 N) with an integrated safety lever has a short, crisp 3-mm reset travel and a clear trigger pull. This enables fast and accurate follow-up shots. The 3-point sight system with luminescent inserts enables quick and accurate target acquisition. The rear sight and front sight can be adjusted laterally. The slide features non-slip checkering at the front and rear to facilitate reloading the pistol.
