FN-509 Tactical

The FN 509® Tactical is a logical evolution of the proven FN 509 series. It is based on the pistol model submitted by FN as part of the U.S. Army’s Modular Handgun Trials and incorporates the key design improvements that were integrated into the FN 509.

Equipped with the company’s proprietary Low-Profile Optics Mounting System™, the pistol allows for the easy mounting of over ten popular red-dot sights. These can be easily co-witnessed with raised night-vision sights for suppressors and also ensure future compatibility with upcoming generations of optics—without the need for time-consuming slide milling.

When no optical sight is in use, a specially designed cover plate with raised protective wings reliably protects the open sights from damage, such as from impacts or drops. Additionally, it features a textured ramp that makes it easier to slide the slide along a belt, pocket, or boot.

The upper assembly is complemented by a high-quality, 4.5-inch cold-hammered stainless steel barrel with a match crown. The ½”-28 thread is compatible with most commercially available 9mm silencers. A threaded protective cap with an integrated O-ring ensures that it does not come loose unintentionally, even during intensive use.

The overall package is rounded out by the high-performance 24-round magazines, which, despite their high capacity, are nearly the same length as the slide, offering an optimal balance between firepower and carrying comfort.
