SPRIII

The SPRIII carries on the legacy of the legendary MK12 and refines it with modern upgrades for today’s marksman. Designed for high accuracy at long ranges, this rifle combines classic features with state-of-the-art enhancements.

At its core, the SPRIII retains the 18"-stainless-steel barrel in the MK12 profile and the rifle-length gas systemthat made the MK12 famous for its accuracy and smooth recoil. Building on this foundation, Daniel Defense has added a new 15"-RIS-III rail with an integrated ARCALOCK section , which allows for expanded mounting of bipods and accessories.

A Geissele Super Semi-Automatic (SSA) trigger ensures match-grade consistency, while the new Magpul PRS Lite stock offers stability and adjustability. A fully ambidextrous lower receiver system rounds out the improvements and makes the SPRIII the next evolution of a precision rifle.

Materials & Construction

Receiver:
Mil-Spec (7075-T6 aluminum, Type III hard-coat anodized). The upper and lower receivers are strong, durable, and reliable, meeting the standard our customers expect.

Barrel:
Proprietary stainless steel alloy, cold-hammer forged, twist rate 1:7, 18" MK12 profile, DLC-coated and HP/MPI-tested. The heavy rifling stabilizes projectiles at longer ranges.

Gas system:
MK12 low-profile gas block, CNC-machined from hardened 416 stainless steel with a black oxide coating. Rifle-length direct impingement, designed for consistent and reliable performance shot after shot.

Handguard:
RIS III 15.0 with modular ARCALOCK rail (6061-T6 aluminum, Type III hard-coat anodized). An extremely sturdy platform for bipods, tripods, support bags, and other accessories.

Bolt Carrier Group:
M16 profile, Mil-Spec MP-certified, hard-chromed, properly countersunk gas key. Built for high durability and reliability.

Trigger:
Geissele Super Semi-Automatic (SSA).

Stock:
Magpul PRS Lite. Individually adjustable for a perfect fit as well as maximum stability and control.

Controls:
Fully ambidextrous. The safety lever, charging handle, magazine release button, and bolt catch can be operated intuitively from either side.

A cantonal exemption permit (ABG) is required to purchase this firearm.
