Operating Principle of the MSBS GROT

The Grot 10 FB-M1 is a semi-automatic rifle with a single-action (SA) trigger mechanism. The rifle’s automatic operation is activated by the diversion of powder gases through a side opening in the barrel, which acts on a short-stroke piston and thus drives the bolt. The locking mechanism is achieved by rotating the bolt, which features symmetrical locking lugs that withstand the pressure inside the barrel. This system is characterized by smooth operation and reduced fouling of the moving parts. The gas block is equipped with a regulator that allows for shooting with a silencer or for shutting off the gas supply.
