The AR15-style Daniel Defense MK18 SBR is unmatched in size, weight, and performance and features the Picatinny Quad Rail that Daniel Defense supplies to USSOCOM. The RIS II Picatinny Quad Rail features a bolt-up system that has been thoroughly tested by USSOCOM prior to field deployment. The 10.3-inch cold-hammered barrel is the standard length for the MK18 upper, which is most commonly used for CQB operations. The GRIP-N-RIP charging handle, which can be operated independently from either side, is suitable for both left- and right-handed shooters. This rifle also comes equipped with the ergonomic Daniel Defense stock and pistol grip.

MATERIALS & CONSTRUCTION

BOTTOM BRACKET: Mil-Spec with an improved funnel magazine and rear receiver QD pivot. CNC-machined from 7075-T6 aluminum, Type III hard-anodized.

UPPER RECEIVER: Mil-Spec with index marks and M4 feed ramps. CNC-machined from 7075-T6 aluminum, Type III hard anodized.

BARREL: Chrome-molybdenum-vanadium steel, cold-hammered, 1:7 twist, 10.3-inch Government profile, chrome-plated, Mil-Spec heavy phosphated, and HP/MPI tested.

GAS SYSTEM: Low-profile welded-on gas block, CNC-machined from hardened 4140 steel and Mil-Spec heavy-phosphated, carbine length, direct impingement.

MUZZLE DEVICE: Daniel Defense flash suppressor, 17-4 PH stainless steel, salt bath nitride coating.

BOLT ASSEMBLY: M16 profile, MP-tested, chrome-plated, properly locked gas key.

BUFFER: H-buffer.

SIGHTS: Sold separately.

HANDGUARD: Daniel Defense MK18 RIS II, CNC-machined from 6061-T6 aluminum, Type III hard-anodized.

LOADING HANDLE: GRIP-N-RIP loading lever, housing CNC-machined from 7075-T6 aluminum, grips and latch CNC-machined from 6061-T6 aluminum, high-performance stainless steel roller pins, Type III hard-anodized.

RECEIVER EXTENSION: 6-position Mil-Spec 7075-T6 aluminum.

STOCK: Daniel Defense stock, glass-fiber-reinforced polymer with soft-touch coating.

PISTOL GRIP: Daniel Defense pistol grip, glass-fiber-reinforced polymer with a soft-touch coating.

RAIL SLATS: 3 flat slats made of Santoprene, heat-resistant up to 300 °F.
