The DD5 V3 builds on the foundation that Daniel Defense has established in 7.62 AR-style rifles. This extremely accurate and durable rifle features an adjustable gas block that provides a consistent feel when firing with or without a suppressor. The perfected bolt assembly reduces overall recoil impulse and is easy to maintain and operate in all conditions. Designed around a cold-hammered barrel with an innovative 4-bolt connection system, this design dramatically increases the contact area between the barrel and the upper receiver for enhanced rigidity and stability, delivering accuracy traditionally found only in high-end bolt-action rifles. The DD5 platforms feature enhanced controls such as an ambidextrous bolt catch, a magazine release, a safety lever, and upgraded furniture from Daniel Defense. The DD5 V3 sets a new standard in performance for 7.62 AR-style rifles.

MATERIALS & CONSTRUCTION

BOTTOM BRACKET: Improved funnel-style magazine well and rear receiver QD pivot. CNC-machined from 7075-T6 aluminum, Type III hard-anodized.

UPPER RECEIVER: CNC-machined from 7075-T6 aluminum, Type III hard-anodized.

BARREL: DD proprietary steel, cold-hammered, 1:10” twist, 16? S2W profile, intermediate gas system, chrome-plated, Mil-Spec heavy phosphate coating.

GAS SYSTEM: User-customizable gas block CNC-machined from hardened 4140 steel and coated with Mil-Spec heavy phosphating, intermediate, direct impingement.

MUZZLE DEVICE: Daniel Defense Superior Suppression Device, 17-4 PH stainless steel, salt bath nitride coating.

TRIGGER: Daniel Defense Mil-Spec.

HANDGUARD: Daniel Defense DD5 rail 15.0, CNC-machined from 6061-T6 aluminum, M-LOK mounting, Type III hard anodized.

RECEIVER EXTENSION: 7-position, 7075-T6 aluminum.

STOCK: Daniel Defense stock, glass-fiber-reinforced polymer with soft-touch coating.

PISTOL GRIP: Daniel Defense pistol grip, glass-fiber-reinforced polymer with soft-touch coating.

MAGAZINES: Accepts all SR-25 magazines.
