The Daniel Defense DD4 MK18 RIII AR15 is unmatched in size, weight, and performance. It combines our proven MK18 with our Daniel Defense RIS III Rail Interface System. This revolutionary system is based on the proven design of our two-piece RIS II rails—which have been used by the U.S. Special Operations Command (SOCOM) since 2006—and reduces weight while maintaining versatility through the use of the popular M-LOK mounting system. So you get the same proven free-float barrel design, a rugged aircraft-grade aluminum construction, and a full-length upper rail platform with a Mil-Spec 1913 rail from the RIS II—plus seven M-LOK mounting points along the handguard and integrated QD swivel mounting points on both sides!

The rest is MK18, including a 10.3-inch cold hammer-forged barrel—the same length as the MK18 upper most commonly used for CQB operations. An independent, ambidextrous GRIP-N-RIP loading handle is suitable for both left- and right-handers, and the rifle comes equipped with our ergonomic Daniel Defense buttstock and pistol grip, as well as three (3) flat rail panels made of heat-resistant Santoprene to protect your support hand.

Lower: Fully ambidextrous Mil-Spec with an extended, flared magazine well and a QD swivel mounting point on the rear receiver. CNC-milled from 7075-T6 aluminum, Type III hard-anodized

Upper: Mil-Spec with indexing marks and M4 feed ramps. CNC-milled from 7075-T6 aluminum, Type III hard-anodized

Barrel: Chrome-molybdenum-vanadium steel, cold-forged, 1:7 twist, 10.3" Government profile, medium-length gas system, chrome-plated, Mil-Spec Heavy Phosphate Coated, and HP/MPI-tested

Gas System: Pinned low-profile gas block, CNC-milled from hardened 4140 steel with Mil-Spec heavy phosphate coating, medium-length, direct impingement

Muzzle brake: Daniel Defense flash suppressor, 17-4 PH stainless steel, salt bath nitride-coated

Bolt: M16 profile, Mil-Spec MP tested, chrome-plated, properly stacked gas key
