The SIG516-G3 continues the tradition of the 516 series, bringing modern technology and an updated product identity to this proven firearm system. Tested worldwide and perfected in New Hampshire, the 516-MOHAWK combines over a decade of in-house engineering expertise from similar rifle projects to create one of the most robust and durable platforms in its class.

The 516-MOHAWK is designed for use in the most extreme conditions. High-quality components and innovative features ensure uncompromising reliability. At its core is a short-stroke gas piston system with adjustable gas regulation, allowing for precise adaptation to various operational scenarios.

Chambered for 5.56 NATO, the 516-MOHAWK features a 16-inch cold-hammered barrel with a 1:7 twist. The intuitive design of the unique, non-oscillating charging handle at the rear and side allows for easy operation—regardless of mission type or environmental conditions.

To ensure long-term serviceability and maximum reliability, high-stress areas such as the control cam and feed ramp are reinforced with steel. The SIG516-G3 offers fully ambidextrous controls—including the bolt catch, magazine release, safety, and charging handle. Additional components include the SIG Matchlite DUO trigger with a curved profile, a SIG compensator with a muzzle flash suppressor, and a free-floating M-LOK handguard.
