Ruger SFAR

A true small-frame semi-automatic rifle, the SFAR is nearly identical in size to a traditional 5.56-mm caliber modern sport rifle.

Made of hard-anodized die-cast aluminum, the upper receiver is equipped with a brass deflector, a cocking assist mechanism, and a full-length Picatinny rail. The lower receiver features a generously sized bulge at the magazine well to facilitate magazine loading.

Vent holes in the upper receiver, barrel extension, and bolt carrier ensure that excess gas is safely directed away from the user.

The SFAR is chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor and offers low recoil and long-range performance, while being nearly identical in size to a traditional modern sports rifle (MSR).

The 15-inch-long aluminum handguard is free-floating for greater accuracy and features Magpul M-LOK attachment slots at the 3:00, 6:00, and 9:00 positions, as well as a full-length Picatinny rail. The mounts for the quick-detach (QD) swivel hooks at the muzzle end of the handguard allow for comfortable transport using a two-point carrying sling.

The Magpul MOE SL buttstock and MOE grip ensure positive control and ergonomic comfort. The receiver end plate includes an additional socket for a QD sling swivel and fills the offset space at the end of the receiver.

The bolt and barrel extensions are CNC-machined from high-strength superalloy steel, which outperforms traditional C158 bolts. The tapered lug geometry further reinforces the system to accommodate larger short-case cartridges.

The bolt carrier group features a chrome-plated steel bolt and a nitrided gas piston that is riveted in place. The titanium firing pin is DLC-coated for extended service life. The bolt features dual ejectors and an optimized extractor to ensure positive extraction and ejection of the empty casing through the enlarged ejection port.

Compatible with most military MSR trigger assemblies, receiver end plates, loading rods, pistol grips, and adjustable butt stocks.

The chrome-molybdenum steel barrel is cold-forged and features an ultra-precise 5R rifling and lands. The heavy-profile barrel is well-balanced, and the attractive black nitride finish ensures exceptional accuracy, longevity, and easy cleaning.

The Ruger® 2-Port Boomer muzzle brake features large vertical surfaces to divert gas and reduce perceptible recoil. The 5/8"-24 muzzle threads on the barrel remain compatible with other brakes, flash suppressors, and silencers.

The rifle’s gas-operated system features a 0.750"-4-position rotary gas control valve to ensure optimal performance across the wide range of ammunition available today. The included, integrated 3/16" ball-end wrench allows for easy gas adjustment.

Equipped with a Ruger Elite 452® trigger, which offers a smooth, precise 4.5-pound two-stage trigger. A powerful main spring and a lightweight hammer ensure fast cycling times and consistent firing readiness.

Also included: a 20-round Magpul PMAG magazine, which is compatible with SR25/AR-10 models for .308 Win/.762 NATO magazines.
