Arisaka Defense Momentary Tailcap

The Arisaka Momentary Tailcap is a replacement switch for Modlite 18650/18350 housings, Arisaka 300 and 600 series housings, and Surefire Scout lights. This model is momentary only and can be rotated to achieve constant-on operation. The tailcap can be fully screwed in to ensure continuous activation, or unscrewed about two turns to prevent accidental activation during storage or travel.

Momentary activation switches are the preferred choice for many firearms instructors because they simplify the operation of the flashlight. Under stress, you don’t have to worry about accidentally pressing the switch too far and turning the light on (as with a Surefire Z68 or Arisaka Clicky Tailcap).

Recommended Setup:

1. Screw the momentary tailcap onto the flashlight body until the light turns on.

2. Unscrew the tailcap by 0.5 to 1.5 turns until the desired amount of switch travel and feel is achieved.

3. The light stays on as long as the button is pressed.
