Modlite ModButton Lite (Surefire/Modlite Plug)

The Modlite ModButton Lite is a smaller, lighter version of the original ModButton. The switch features the same momentary activation as the original ModButton. It also features the same high-performance cable and ModButton switch, but in a slightly smaller housing without the integrated mount. The switch is made of injection-molded plastic and is fully encapsulated to provide additional protection in harsh environments and ensure a long service life.

The Modlite ModButton Lite uses a patented Unity Tactical design that supports power delivery for the next generation of high-performance weapon lights, such as Modlite. A Surefire®-compatible cable developed by Unity enables the ModButton Lite to be backward compatible with all Surefire®, Arisaka, and Modlite Scout housings, as well as Surefire UE and DS00 end caps. If continuous cycling is required, we recommend using an SF DS00 end cap, which you can find here.

One issue that exists today is that older switches are unable to handle the current required to operate current and future generations of flashlights. With these older switches, Modlite light heads cannot be operated at full power. Typically, these switches reduce output by 15–20%. The ModButton Lite uses an updated connector design and improved electronics that allow it to operate at full power, ensuring that all lumens and candelas are fully utilized.

The package includes the switch, PIC mounting rails, and mounting hardware; however, a tail cap is not included. We recommend the Surefire UE or DS00 tail cap, which you can find here. Additionally, an adapter for MLOK rails is also available here.

Note: For most setups, the 4.5-inch version is sufficient to reach the device from the top Picatinny rail.

The tightening torque for the Rail Grabber’s screws is 5 inch-lbs.
