Real Avid Speed Brushes are wound twice as densely as standard brushes, giving them a longer service life and promising faster results with less effort. The soft yet stiff phosphor bronze bristles are nickel-plated, which reduces chemical degradation inside the barrel.

Carbon deposits not only impair performance and accuracy but also cause barrel wear. The buildup of carbon also traps copper residue inside the barrel, making it difficult to remove with chemical cleaners alone.
