For more than 50 years, the famous silhouette of the M16/M4 has undergone only one major change and several minor ones. Barrel lengths and stocks have changed, but by and large, the evolution of America’s go-to weapon has advanced rapidly with each generation of soldiers who have made it their own. During this time, the sight of the M16/M4 in the capable hands of young Americans has symbolized hope for countless millions of people around the world.

With the introduction of the USASOC URGI, this quintessentially American silhouette has changed forever. The Geissele Super Modular Rail MK16 handguard, the drop-forged barrel, and the medium-length gas system combine to form a package that measurably increases the probability of a hit. The USASOC URGI was developed for the new M855A1 (AB57) ammunition and fully exploits its capabilities. Once the USASOC URGI is installed on an existing system, it essentially becomes a completely new weapon. The USASOC URGI is virtually a clone of the upper receiver assembly currently in use by USASOC.
