MK18 Upper Receiver Group

The MK18 AR15-style upper receiver group impresses with its compact size, light weight, and outstanding performance, and features the Picatinny Quad Rail that Daniel Defense supplies to USSOCOM. The RIS II rail utilizes the proven bolt-up system, which was rigorously tested by USSOCOM prior to field deployment. The 10.3-inch cold-hammer-forged barrel is the same length as the version used on the MK18 upper, which is frequently employed in CQB operations. The ambidextrous GRIP-N-RIP charging handle is suitable for both left- and right-handed shooters. All Daniel Defense upper receiver groups come standard with an M16 bolt carrier group profile.

Upper Receiver: Mil-Spec with indexing marks and M4 feed ramps, CNC-machined from 7075-T6 aluminum, Type III hard-anodized.

Barrel: Chrome-molybdenum-vanadium steel, cold-hammered, 1:7 twist, 10.3" Government profile, chrome-lined, Mil-Spec heavy-duty phosphated, and HP/MPI tested.

Gas System: Pinned low-profile gas block, CNC-machined from 4140 hardened steel, carbine length, direct impingement technology, Mil-Spec heavy phosphate finish.

Muzzle device: Daniel Defense flash suppressor, 17-4 PH stainless steel, salt bath nitrided.

Bolt Carrier Group: M16 profile, Mil-Spec MP-certified, chrome-plated, gas key correctly pinned.

Sights: Sold separately.

Handguard: Daniel Defense RIS II MK18, CNC-machined from 6061-T6 aluminum, Type III hard-anodized.

Charging Handle: GRIP-N-RIP, CNC-machined from 7075-T6 aluminum (body) and 6061-T6 aluminum (grips & latch), stainless steel roll pins, Type III hard-anodized.

Rail covers: Daniel Defense rail panels made of Santoprene, heat-resistant up to 300°F (approx. 149°C).
