MK12 Upper Receiver Group

The MK12 AR15-style upper receiver group is built around an 18-inch stainless steel barrel, whose chamber was machined during the cold hammer forging process. This ensures the most precise alignment of the chamber with the barrel. Combined with the DLC coating, this provides unparalleled accuracy and durability. The MK12 barrel is equipped with a rifle-length direct impingement gas system and utilizes the MK12 gas block, which was developed to Crane (Naval Surface Warfare Division) specifications for USSOCOM.

The upper receiver features a 12-inch free-floating Picatinny quad rail for mounting optics and accessories, an ambidextrous GRIP-N-RIP charging handle for both left- and right-hand shooters, and a Daniel Defense Improved Flash Suppressor. All Daniel Defense upper receiver groups come standard with an M16 bolt carrier group profile.

Upper Receiver: Mil-Spec with indexing marks and M4 feed ramps, CNC-machined from 7075-T6 aluminum, Type III hard-anodized.

Barrel: Special stainless steel alloy, cold-hammered, 1:7 twist, 18" MK12 profile, DLC-coated, HP/MPI-tested.

Gas System: MK12 low-profile gas block, CNC-milled from 416 hardened steel, black oxidized, rifle-length, direct impingement technology.

Muzzle device: Daniel Defense flash suppressor, 17-4 PH stainless steel, salt bath nitrided.

Bolt Carrier Group: M16 profile, Mil-Spec MP-certified, chrome-plated, gas key correctly pinned.

Sights: Sold separately.

Handguard: Daniel Defense DDM4 Rail 12.0, CNC-milled from 6061-T6 aluminum, Type III hard-anodized.

Charging Handle: GRIP-N-RIP, CNC-machined from 7075-T6 aluminum (body) and 6061-T6 aluminum (grips & latch), stainless steel roll pins, Type III hard anodized.

Rail Covers: Daniel Defense Rail Panels, made of Santoprene, heat-resistant up to 300°F (approx. 149°C).
