Daniel Defense M4A1 SOCOM URG 14.5"

The M4A1 AR-15-style upper receiver group features the RIS II Picatinny quad rail, which has been used by the U.S. Special Operations Command (SOCOM) for the SOPMOD Block II program since 2005. The M4A1 is based on a 14.5-inch cold-hammer-forged M4 profiled barrel with a permanently attached Daniel Defense flash suppressor. The independent, ambidextrous GRIP-N-RIP charging handle is suitable for both left- and right-handed shooters. All Daniel Defense Upper Receiver Groups come standard with an M16-profile bolt carrier group.

MATERIALS & CONSTRUCTION

UPPER RECEIVER: Mil-Spec with indexing marks and M4 feed ramps. CNC-machined from 7075-T6 aluminum, Type III hard-anodized.

BARREL: Chrome-molybdenum-vanadium steel, cold-hammer forged, 1:7 twist, 14.5" M4 profile, chrome-plated, Mil-Spec heavy phosphate-coated, and HP/MPI-tested.

GAS SYSTEM: Pinned low-profile gas block, CNC-machined from hardened 4140 steel, with Mil-Spec heavy phosphate coating, carbine length, direct impingement.

MUZZLE DEVICE: Daniel Defense extended flash suppressor, 17-4 PH stainless steel, salt-bath nitrided, pinned and welded to the barrel.

BOLT CARRIER GROUP: M16 profile, Mil-Spec MP-tested, chrome-plated, properly stacked gas keys.

SIGHTS: Sold separately.

HANDGUARD: Daniel Defense M4A1 Rail Interface System (RIS) II, CNC-milled from 6061-T6 aluminum, Type III hard-anodized in FDE (Flat Dark Earth).

LOADING HANDLE: GRIP-N-RIP loading handle, housing CNC-machined from 7075-T6 aluminum, grips and latch CNC-machined from 6061-T6 aluminum, heavy-duty stainless steel roller pins, Type III hard-anodized.

RAIL PLATES: Daniel Defense rail plates made of Santoprene, heat-resistant up to 300 °F (approx. 150 °C).
