DDM4®300 S Upper Receiver Group

The DDM4 300S AR-15-style upper receiver group was designed for users seeking a high-performance short-barreled rifle in the versatile .30 Blackout caliber. Equipped with a 10.3-inch barrel, the 300S Upper Receiver Group uses standard 5.56 bolts and magazines to fire .30-caliber projectiles with higher muzzle energy than comparable 5.56-mm platforms.

Thanks to a wide variety of factory ammunition—suitable for home defense, sport shooting, hunting, suppressed use, and tactical applications—this compact and agile unit delivers exceptional performance. The ambidextrous GRIP-N-RIP charging handle is suitable for both left- and right-handed shooters. All Daniel Defense upper receiver groups come standard with an M16 bolt carrier group profile.

Upper Receiver: Mil-Spec with indexing marks and M4 feed ramps, CNC-milled from 7075-T6 aluminum, Type III hard-anodized.

Barrel: Chrome-moly-vanadium steel, cold-hammered, 1:8 twist, 10.3" S2W profile, pistol-length gas system, chrome-plated, Mil-Spec heavy phosphate finish, and HP/MPI tested.

Gas System: Pinned low-profile gas block, CNC-milled from 4140 hardened steel, pistol-length, direct impingement technology, Mil-Spec heavy phosphate finish.

Muzzle device: Daniel Defense flash suppressor, 17-4 PH stainless steel, salt bath nitrided.

Bolt Carrier Group: M16 profile, Mil-Spec MP-certified, chrome-plated, gas key correctly pinned.

Sights: Sold separately.

Handguard: Daniel Defense DDM4 Rail 9.0, CNC-milled from 6061-T6 aluminum, Type III hard-anodized.

Charging Handle: GRIP-N-RIP, CNC-milled from 7075-T6 aluminum (body) and 6061-T6 aluminum (grips & latch), stainless steel roll pins, Type III hard-anodized.

Rail covers: Daniel Defense rail panels made of Santoprene, heat-resistant up to 300°F (approx. 149°C).
