DD4™ RIII™ Upper Receiver Group

The DD4™ RIII™ Upper Receiver Group features a 16-inch cold-hammer-forged Government-profile barrel, a GRIP-N-RIP charging handle, and the proven mid-length gas system, which provides smoother recoil and thus enhances accuracy during rapid and precise firing.

The model features a 12.5-inch lightweight RIS III rail, based on the revolutionary RIS II two-piece handguard rail for SOCOM. It offers M-LOK mounting points for reduced weight without compromising compatibility with an M203 grenade launcher. All Daniel Defense upper receiver groups come standard with an M16 bolt carrier group profile.

Materials and Construction:

Upper Receiver: Mil-Spec with indexing marks and M4 feed ramps, CNC-machined from 7075-T6 aluminum, Type III hard-anodized.

Barrel: Chrome-molybdenum-vanadium steel, cold-hammered, 1:7 twist, 16" Government profile, mid-length gas system, chrome-plated, Mil-Spec heavy phosphate finish, and HP/MPI tested.

Gas system: Pinned low-profile gas block, CNC-milled from 4140 hardened steel, mid-length, direct impingement technology, Mil-Spec heavy phosphate finish.

Muzzle device: Daniel Defense flash suppressor, 17-4 PH stainless steel, salt-bath nitrided.

Sights: Sold separately.

Handguard: RIS III, 12.5 inches, CNC-machined from 6061-T6 aluminum, M-LOK-compatible.

Charging handle: GRIP-N-RIP, CNC-machined from 7075-T6 aluminum (body) and 6061-T6 aluminum (grips & bolt), stainless steel roll pins, Type III hard anodized.
