Provides a platform for modern and older optics/lasers
The FAST™ SIDEKAR™ provides a mounting platform for current and legacy optics and laser systems on medium machine guns. It was developed to modernize the capabilities of the M240 series (FN MAG) and can be integrated with most medium machine guns in the NATO arsenal.

Long Optics Riser for Day and Night Operations
The FAST™ SIDEKAR™ features a long optical riser capable of accommodating both daytime optics and CNVD night vision attachments. This allows them to be positioned for optimal eye relief. The increased height also makes it easier for the shooter to maintain a clear field of view even while wearing personal protective equipment (PPE).

Easily Accessible Laser Position with Reduced Heat Build-up
The M1913 rail at the 9 o’clock position allows for the mounting of targeting lasers and laser rangefinders in a location that is easily accessible to both the shooter and the loader. This eliminates the need for long remote control cables. Since the laser is mounted farther away from the barrel, it is also better protected against heat-related damage.
