ModButton Lite

Modlite ModButton Lite - Dual Lead | Surefire/Crane

ModButton Lite is a smaller, lighter version of the original ModButton. The switch features the same momentary-only activation as the original ModButton. It also features the same high-performance cable and switch as the ModButton, but in a slightly smaller housing without an integrated mount. The switch is made of injection-molded plastic and is fully potted to provide additional protection in demanding environments and ensure that the switch is durable and long-lasting.

The laser connector is compatible ONLY with PEQ15, DBAL, BE Meyers® MAWL™, and Wilcox® RAIDx™ lasers.

The dual-lead version is our ModButton Lite, but it features both a Surefire®/Modlite and a Crane laser connector. This ModButton Lite activates both connectors simultaneously, providing excellent line-of-sight override functionality for both white light and visible laser. There is no option to select a single connector for activation. For that, we recommend the Unity TAPS SNYC. Available here.

The ModButton Lite uses a patented design by Unity Tactical that supports the power requirements of the next generation of high-performance weapon lights, such as the Modlite. A Surefire®-compatible cable connector manufactured by Unity enables the ModButton Lite to be backward compatible with all Surefire®, Arisaka, and Modlite Scout housings, as well as Surefire UE and DS00 end caps. If constant activation is required, we recommend using an SF DS00 end cap, which can be found here.

A problem that exists today is that older legacy switches are unable to deliver the current required by current and future generations of flashlights. These older switch designs prevent Modlite flashlight heads from operating at full power. Typically, these switches reduce output by 15–20%. The ModButton Lite uses an updated connector design and improved electronics, enabling it to operate at full power so that all lumens and candelas can be utilized effectively.

The package contains only the switch PIC mounting rails and mounting hardware. No end cap is included. We recommend the Surefire UE or DS00 end cap, which can be found here. Additionally, an adapter for MLOK rails is also available here.

Note: For most configurations, the 4.5-inch version of the cable is sufficient to reach the device from the top rail.
