The new Timney AR Targa 2-stage trigger with a LONG first-stage take-up is a self-contained, 100% drop-in unit ready to install in your AR-15 for an exceptionally smooth, crisp, two-stage trigger pull. No gunsmithing, mounting, or adjustment required.

The trigger weight is factory-calibrated for a first stage of two pounds and a second stage of two pounds. The trigger housing is made of military-grade 6061 T6 alloy, CNC-milled using state-of-the-art robotic technology and anodized for a long service life. The hammer is wire-EDM’d from S7 tool steel, which combines wear-resistant hardness with superior impact resistance to withstand heavy loads. The trigger pull is factory-calibrated to two pounds for the first stage and two pounds for the second stage. The trigger housing is made of military-grade 6061 T6 alloy, CNC-milled using state-of-the-art robotic technology, and anodized for exceptional durability.

The hammer is wire-EDM’d from S7 tool steel, which combines wear-resistant hardness with superior impact toughness, allowing it to withstand heavy loads without chipping or breaking, and is coated with Teflon-nickel for lubrication. Other components are wire-EDM-machined from A2 tool steel and then heat-treated to Rockwell 58 to ensure a long and reliable service life. The Timney AR Targa 2-Stage Trigger is mounted using your rifle’s original hammer and trigger pins—a proprietary design prevents the pins from rotating or coming loose.
