This unique DPM mechanical recoil reduction system with an enclosed spring is a direct replacement for the original recoil spring rod and requires no configuration prior to installation. The system provides nearly double the spring force at the fully open position of the slide. Compared to the original OEM spring, it delivers additional force that prevents the slide from slamming against the frame. This effect causes the slide to stop gently against the frame, reducing recoil. Additionally, it protects the pistol’s moving parts, extending the weapon’s service life.
