In competitive shooting, compensators and muzzle flash suppressors have various drawbacks. When shooters stand side by side in a line at the range, the person next to you is exposed to the full force of the muzzle gas and often also to gunpowder residue when a shot is fired.

This is not only unpleasant but can even be dangerous. When shooting from a prone position, the muzzle gas pressure stirs up dirt, dust, and even small stones. This interferes with shooting, obstructs your view, and can lead to firearm malfunctions.

It can be attached in just a few seconds to all Rotex IIA-compatible muzzle flash suppressors and compensators in the .223 (5.56 mm) and .308 (7.62 mm) calibers. The B&T Blast Deflector slows down the muzzle gases and prevents them from escaping sideways.
