ACHERON PBS E1

Designed specifically for the AK-100 series of firearms, our PBS E1 features an interface for direct mounting on the unusually large M24 x 1.5 muzzle thread. The threaded mount on these firearms includes a spring-loaded locking pin, which makes installing conventional muzzle attachments a frustrating ordeal. The PBS E1 is the only suppressor with a special feature that allows tool-free operation of this locking bolt, making installation quick and easy. The locking ring at the rear end of the suppressor is used to either engage or disengage the locking pin. When the locking pin is disengaged, the PBS E1 can be screwed onto the firearm just like a standard threaded suppressor. With just half a turn of the locking ring, the locking pin is released, allowing it to engage in one of the grooves in the silencer. This secures the PBS E1 to the firearm’s threads, preventing it from coming loose during firing.

Apart from the mounting system, the PBS E1 is based on the proven design of the ACS E1. Due to its universal, non-caliber-specific mount, the PBS E1 is available in only one caliber (7.62 mm).

The surface finish uses the heat-resistant C-Series from Cerakote.

Compatibility

Compatible with most AK variants featuring the M24 x 1.5 muzzle thread. This includes, among others:

AK-100 series, with the exception of the AK-9

Saiga family (MK & MKK)

AK-74 variants, with the exception of the AKS-74U*

* In principle, the PBS E1 also fits an AKS-74U, but the locking pin is farther from the center of the barrel, which prevents it from securing the suppressor. The PBS E1 can be used on an AKS-74U, but it may come loose during firing.

For AK variants with the M14 x 1L muzzle thread (AK-47, AKM, RPK, RPK-74, etc.), we offer compatible HexaLug muzzle attachments so that our ACS E1 can be used.
