The new benchmark for large-caliber silencers: The ELR E1 is the lightest silencer in its class and comes standard with the new HexaLug XL quick-mount system.

Weighing just 800 grams, the ELR E1 is more than 60% lighter than standard silencers. The Acheron HexaLug XL muzzle brake required for installation is also a featherweight, weighing only about 200 grams.

Of course, this extreme weight reduction was not achieved at the expense of performance, but rather through the use of a high-strength titanium alloy. Titanium’s specific gravity—which is about 40% lower than that of stainless steel—and its high strength make it the perfect material for precision rifle suppressors. Like the suppressors in the ACS family, the ELR E1 is also fully laser-welded.

Thanks to the HexaLug XL quick-mount system, the muzzle brake never needs to be removed. The silencer is simply slipped onto the muzzle brake and locked into place. HexaLug XL ensures optimal repeatability and prevents accidental disengagement. Especially with silencers screwed directly onto the muzzle thread—which can only be tightened with insufficient torque in the field—there is a risk that the silencer will come loose during shooting. HexaLug XL eliminates this risk.

The heat-resistant C-Series from Cerakote is used as the surface finish. The ELR E1 is available in two colors.

The sound reduction specification represents the difference between the logarithmic mean values of 5 shots each (with and without the silencer).

Since measuring sound pressure to the side of the muzzle brake could damage the measuring microphone, the measurement was taken at the shooter’s ear. The sound pressure level in the measurements without the silencer exceeds the measurement range of our equipment. Therefore, the highest value we could measure—170.0 dB(A)—was used as a reference value. The actual noise reduction is higher than the specified value but could not be determined precisely.
