The Magpul Suppressor Cover - 5.5" is the first product of its kind designed to withstand the extreme temperatures caused by prolonged semi-automatic and automatic fire, protecting the user and equipment from burns while simultaneously accelerating the cooling process. The Magpul Suppressor Cover – 5.5" consists of a heat-resistant polymer sleeve mounted on a raised stainless steel heat shield and secured directly to the suppressor body with steel clips. It minimizes heat transfer, keeping the cover’s exterior temperatures up to 1,000 degrees cooler than the surface of the suppressor and allowing a cooling airflow over the can.

Additionally, it serves as an improved thermal insulator and a signature-reduction device, significantly reducing Fata Morgana distortions in the shooter’s field of view, reduces the likelihood of impact damage to the silencer housing, and lowers the risk of accidental heat-related injuries or damage to personnel or equipment during firing and cooling.

Optimized for round suppressors with an outer diameter of 1.5" and a body length of approximately 5.5" (excluding mounting hardware/interface), such as the Surefire SOCOM556-RC2.
