Wyss Bipod STGW57

The adjustable Wyss bipod for the Sturmgewehr 57 (Stgw 57) offers an adjustment range of 140 mm. The minimum height is 220 mm and the maximum height is 360 mm. The adjustment screw is made of steel, and the other parts are made of high-strength anodized aluminum, which optimizes durability and weight.

Installation

Loosen the screws on the standard bipod legs and remove them along with the nuts. Clean the mount and screws with a cloth and lightly oil them. Insert the locking pins and springs into the holes in the Wyss bipod legs, press the bipod legs against the mount, and position them until the screw can be pushed through the hole without resistance. Tighten the nuts from the opposite side and screw them in. The supports must now lock into place cleanly in both the folded and unfolded positions.

Length Adjustment

Turn the knurled, black part at the tip of the adjustable leg (the thinner tube section rotates). Both legs should be set to the same length. One turn adjusts the height by three millimeters. The numerical scale indicates the distances in centimeters.

Care

The Wyss model bipod is maintenance-free. If it becomes dirty, it can be easily cleaned with a cloth.
