The Magpul PMAG D-50 is a rugged, lightweight, and reliable 50-round polymer drum magazine for 7.62x51 NATO/.308 Winchester ammunition for SR25/M110 rifles. It is suitable for use with ammunition up to 2.830" OAL, such as the M118LR, which exceeds the SAAMI specification. The D-50 was developed to the same exacting standards as the famous Magpul PMAG and PMAG D-60® drum magazines and continues the PMAG tradition of high capacity and reliability. In addition, the D-50 offers GEN M3 features, including increased strength, durability, and reliability.

The Magpul PMAG D-50 shares its DNA with the legendary Magpul PMAG GEN M3, including its next-generation impact- and fracture-resistant polymer construction and the ability to sit fully loaded with the bolt closed. The rugged stainless steel internal components resist corrosion and long-term storage while loaded, without compromising functionality, causing spring fatigue, or leading to reliability issues. A snap-on, semi-rigid dust cover prevents dirt and debris from entering during storage and transport.

The D-50 is designed with ease of use as a top priority. A ratchet-style loading lever releases the spring tension, allowing the D-50 to be easily loaded by hand. A glare-free, translucent window on the rear of the drum provides a quick and clear visual indication of the remaining ammunition. Additionally, the D-50 can be quickly disassembled with a simple flathead screwdriver and features a dot-matrix pattern that facilitates easy marking and identification.
