The next-generation PMAG 30 GEN M3 Window is a 30-round 5.56x45 NATO (.223 Remington) polymer magazine for AR15/M4-compatible firearms, featuring transparent windows that allow for quick visual identification of the approximate number of rounds remaining. In addition to its enhanced features and compatibility, the GEN M3 Window incorporates new material technologies and manufacturing processes for improved strength, durability, and reliability, exceeding stringent military performance specifications.

While the GEN M3 is optimized for Colt-specific AR15/M4 platforms, its modified internal and external geometry also allows it to be used with a range of other firearms, such as the HK® 416/MR556A1/M27 IAR, the British SA-80, the FN® SCAR MK 16/16S, and others.

Similar to the MOE® PMAG, the GEN M3 Window features a durable, USGL-spec stainless steel spring, a four-way anti-tilt latch, and a consistently curved internal geometry for reliable feeding, as well as simple, tool-free disassembly that facilitates cleaning.

In addition, a redesigned catch notch at the rear of the magazine provides more clearance for the catch, while an over-extend stop on the magazine’s back ensures that the magazine cannot be inserted too far into compatible firearms. The low-profile ribs and new, aggressive texture on the front and back ensure good control of the GEN M3 in all environments, and a dot matrix pattern has been applied to the bottom of the magazine body with a paint pen, allowing the end user to easily mark it for identification.

The new, easy-to-remove, flared base plate makes it easier to pull out and handle the magazine while also providing improved drop protection; however, it is slightly slimmer than before to ensure better compatibility with tight double and triple magazine pouches. An included pop-off impact/dust cover can be used optionally to minimize the ingress of foreign objects and protect the top round from potential damage during storage and transport.

Durable, transparent windows on both sides allow for quick determination of the approximate number of rounds remaining in the magazine. By using a highly visible indicator coil on the spring and numerical markings on the magazine body, the MagLevel® system provides a reliable way to check the load without compromising the magazine’s durability or reliability.
