Advanced Warfighter Magazines (AWM) bridge the gap between current metal and polymer magazines. These lightweight, molded polymer magazines withstand the rough handling and extreme conditions of tactical operations, including heat and impact during sustained fully automatic fire. The fixed, circumferential feed lips are machined from a single piece of precision-molded, hardened steel and coated with PTFE to protect against corrosion. They ensure smooth ammunition feed and do not deform when the magazine is stored fully loaded for extended periods. It has been tested to withstand temperature extremes ranging from -50 to +180 degrees F and a 5-foot drop onto concrete while fully loaded, with no loss of functionality. The non-reflective exterior features molded grooves and an enhanced texture that improve structural strength and provide a secure grip surface. It can be freely removed from Mil-Spec magazine wells, fully loaded, and inserted into the firearm with the slide closed. The 30-round model fits into pouches designed for standard US GI-spec magazines. An anti-tilt follower and a constant-radius curve ensure smooth, jam-free feeding. The hard-polymer baseplate provides a secure grip when removing the magazine from tight-fitting pouches and can be easily removed for disassembly and cleaning.
