QuikClot is a hemostatic wound dressing designed to stop bleeding from heavily bleeding wounds that cannot be controlled by a pressure bandage or a tourniquet. The kaolin-coated dressing activates blood clotting factors, thereby accelerating coagulation without generating heat.
