The PGD ARCH helmet is a high-cut helmet that provides enough space to wear hearing protection or communication equipment at the same time.

The helmet can be easily customized to your needs. It adjusts to your head in 2–3 seconds and feels like a “floating” helmet because it fits well without feeling tight. This is made possible by the helmet’s 10-pad memory foam liner system.

The PGD-10-Pad Memory Foam Technology is a specially developed foam technology that reduces the impact of blunt force from gunshots while offering incredible comfort. Memory foam was originally developed for use at NASA to protect against “impacts.”

The foam, which is secured with Velcro, can be replaced very easily.

An ARCH helmet is made from Dupont Kevlar aramid. Dupont is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of aramid fibers.

This means you have a bulletproof helmet that is certified to NIJ 0106.01 Level 3a and protects your Kevlar helmet against rounds up to .44 Magnum.

In addition, the V50 helmet has been tested against fragments and shrapnel (17grs) at speeds of up to 700 m/s in accordance with STANAG 2920, the NATO standard for testing ballistic materials.

When a bulletproof helmet stops a projectile or fragment, a standard helmet is damaged within a 130mm radius around the point of impact—a condition also known as blunt-force trauma.

The PGD ARCH Ballistic Helmet, however, is only affected within a radius of up to 75 mm around the point of impact. It makes a significant difference how deeply the helmet is indented into the head and how effectively it absorbs the impact.

An ARCH helmet reduces penetration depth by up to 50% (according to HPW-TP-0401.01B IIIA), with an average trauma depth of 11.2 mm from a 9 mm round. It offers significantly greater protection, and the chance of surviving the trauma of a gunshot is higher.
