RAILINK Power and Data ARC Rails
Tan 499Description
Ops-Core RAILINK® Power and Data ARC Rails
RAILINK is the first of its kind: a power and data solution that forms the backbone of a rapidly evolving, scalable ecosystem. It powers and connects your head-mounted system. Users can seamlessly integrate compatible accessories—without the need for additional batteries or complex cable management. Developed and tested with extensive feedback from U.S. military users, RAILINK is the platform of the future, expanding head-mounted systems with new accessories.
To mount your RAILINK power and data ARC rails on your FAST helmet system, you’ll need the Ballistic Hardware Kit, available separately.
Features & Specifications
RAILINK ARC RAILS – Combine the industry-standard dovetail guide for mechanical attachment of accessories with an integrated power and data transmission network.
POWER & DATA FROM A SINGLE SOURCE – Separate circuits deliver power and high-bandwidth data to VAS/NVG and accessory systems, all powered from a single source.
SMART NODES FOR MECHANICAL & ELECTRONIC CONNECTIVITY – Accessories are connected via smart nodes, which enable both mechanical mounting and electronic power supply and low-speed data connectivity.
UNIVERSAL VAS/NVG INTERFACE – The universal RAILINK power interface for VAS/NVG allows for the use of a wide variety of night vision systems, including the latest devices with thermal fusion channels that require both power and data. Specially routed cables within the RAILINK system enable a tidy installation and reduce the risk of snagging.
SYSTEM-WIDE CONNECTIVITY – A communication protocol routes power and data from the Battery Pack+ throughout the entire network, from node to node. The Battery Pack+ also functions as a controller, distributing information throughout the helmet and facilitating communication with other soldier systems.
BACKWARD AND FORWARD COMPATIBLE – RAILINK is both backward and forward compatible with all FAST High Cut helmet systems.
SMALLER SIZE & LESS FATIGUE – Because all VAS and accessory systems are powered from a single source, the devices can be built more compactly and mounted closer to the helmet’s center of gravity—which reduces wearer fatigue during long missions.
MAXIMUM USE OF SPACE & SIMPLICITY – Mounting outside the dovetail rail creates space for additional accessories. Using a common power source significantly simplifies operation—no longer requiring different battery types.
