The OpalMagnum in 12/76 caliber ranks among the world’s best shotgun shells in its category. Loaded with a 43.0-gram (666 grs/1½ oz) projectile, it delivers impressive energy figures. At a muzzle velocity (V0) of 491 meters per second, that amounts to 5,184 joules. Even at a distance of 100 meters, the cartridge still delivers 2,173 joules.

The OpalMagnum is a reliable companion for driven hunts and the hunting of large hoofed game, as well as defensive big game such as buffalo or lions. The OpalMagnum must not be used in barrels with a choke.

This special cartridge is recommended for rifled shotgun barrels but can also be fired from shotguns with smoothbore barrels. The coating on the bullet head reduces lead wear in the barrel.
